One of the final projects I worked on for the Halifax 2011 Canada Games was to design and produce a three disk commemorative DVD set. This included the various promotional videos and commercial spots produced for the Games, video documentation of events & highlights, photo slideshows from the Games, the National Artist Program Gala performance as well as TSN’s coverage of the opening and closing ceremonies.
The DVD set shares it’s title with the upcoming final corporate report: Compete Contribute Celebrate—the three pillars of the Halifax 2011 Canada Games.

Voluntary Sector Professional Capacity Trust

The Government of Nova Scotia has established a Voluntary Sector Professional Capacity Trust and I was contacted to design an info sheet and application form for the program. This trust is open to Non-Profit and Voluntary sector organizations in the province and will fund training and capacity needs for the organizations’ paid staff.
With several years of personal experience working for various organizations in this sector, I understand the challenges faced and the dedication of the staff. This is something I can definitely get behind.
Mi’kmaw Conservation Group

I was recently contacted by the Confederacy of Mainland Mi’kmaq to design and produce a basic website for the Mi’kmaw Conservation Group – this is an emerging group formed from various First Nation communities located in the Bay of Fundy watershed.
The mission of the MCG is “To promote and restore the concept and practice of Netuklimk in the Fundy Watershed”. Netukulimk is achieving adequate standards of community nutrition and economic well-being without jeopardizing the integrity, diversity, or productivity of our environment.
This is a basic information website – and we’ll be expanding on it as the group grows and develops.
Innovacorp – green team

Local crown corporation innovacorp has established a “green team” committee to focus on issues of environmental sustainability. They wanted a look to identify the committee—for use on posters, letterhead and email newsletters.
The typical brand image used by innovacorp is a blue butterfly – so the clear solution was to use a green butterfly in it’s place. This has the desired impact of drawing attention while retaining their existing brand equity.

Innovacorp supplied the “Green is in us” tagline - a clever reference to their existing wordmark.
